Saludtools.com closes successfully its pre-seed round for $650,000 with top global investors leading the round Colombia, 27 September 2021: Saludtools.com has announced today that the company successfully raised $650K dollars from global investors to finance their growth strategy across Latin America.

During the past quarter, Camilo Naranjo - CEO of the company - has met with over 30 angel investors, family offices and venture capital funds, showing important milestones that prove product/market fit in more than 9 countries across the region. Saludtools' ambitious 24 months plan shows how the company aims to consolidate its growth trajectory in Colombia, whilst penetrating neighbouring countries at the same time.

Saludtools is a digital only Healthtech ecosystem, servicing video consultation, e-prescriptions and

data tracking systems to doctors and patients. It launched under the brand Saludtools in January 2018, and as of 1 September 2021, the company has surpassed 1.5 million consultations. The company serves 6.500 doctors (17% growth MOM) through a software as a service platform to better manage their virtual patients, reducing the time the doctors have to spend in front of the computer by more than 25%.

With their focus on provided better health services, the company has enabled the delivery of prescribed medications through its partnership with the biggest pharmacy chain in Colombia currently delivering to your doorstep in less than 2 hours in more than 250 cities, but also, something that will certainly amplify its patient’s uptime will be the incorporation of video consultations.

Now, thanks to this service patients anywhere in the country can access a doctor in less than 10 minutes of waiting time (instead of the average of 13 days) and as simple as buying an aspirin. This strategy focuses on serving mid and low income families (76% of Latin America population, close to 500 million people1) with limited access to healthcare services; in this way, patients are able to receive high-quality medical assistance from as little as 6 dollars from their closest local pharmacy, without having to download apps, nor having to have access to the internet, as it will be provided at the pharmacy by Saludtools.

"Nothing better, and more fulfilling for a hard working team, than having your own happy users backing you”

Camilo Naranjo, CEO and founder of Salud Toos stated “We are very happy with our new investors. They all are knowledgeable of our industry and fully understand our business model and ambitions. Also we worked with Aluna Partners Ltd. who provided consultancy support along the process. They have been a trusted partner, hands-on, knowledgeable of the startup ecosystem taking the time to understand our business model and needs. There was something really great that happened and that we did not anticipate: some of our new investors this time were our own Saludtools users. Nothing better, and more fulfilling for a hard working team, than having your own happy users backing you”.

“We are excited about our future, the new partnerships with pharmacies in Colombia position Salud

Tools as the biggest consultation platform in a country of 58 million inhabitants. The new partnership

with the largest insurance company in the Dominican Republic allows us to serve over 2 million patients and our most recent contract in Peru, opens the doors to an additional 32 million population market, proving Salud Tools high net-promoter-score highlights the acceptance of our product made possible by a very strong team, with the ability to scale and grow our business quickly across Latin America”.
